My plan was to dump this blog but it seems that someone is actually visiting here...soooo, I guess I'll update when I get a chance...you know really change it. Meanwhile, my collegiate DD sent me pics of the scarf and hat that I knitted and her quilt....so here they are. Additionally, while reading a message from Mimi, the Sister at HS DD called and thanked me for the Wedding Bear Pair....she says that they are beautiful (everyone admires them) YEAH! HOORAY!!!! Sister, you have made my day!!! WAAAA WAAAA... IT IS NOT WORKING.... Okay so I updated the pics to the slide show .... one more try here.

DOING EVERYTHING BUT.......

The good news is that I am working on the last project....post pics later. Here are some other projects that have come about as I was working on the still unfinished Mystery Quilt (which is no longer a mystery!)... These were fun also....my DS's lion costume for his school play....The Wizard Of Oz..... my DD's cap and scarf..... and the wedding bears.... oy vey!!

Ive been running around yesterday getting ready for my ds's first stage performance....it went off without a hitch....the child has talent...he was the lion in his school's performance of The Wizard of Oz and I was not disappointed....he really delivered....WOW...there will be another performance tonight....As for the rest of the weekend and early part of next week, I will be away...retreating....however, I shall return with pictures of cast and such....happy quilting....crafting....designing and whatever your muse!

Carolina Crossroads ... Mystery Quilt Steps

As it happens, I have received 3 other project requests as I attempt to move along with my CC quilt...will post as I finish them. I thought I would post the quilt here step by step....lol....hopefully the finish will be soon!

Carolina Crossroad blocks and others!

Before Bargello Maddness overtook me, I did put a couple of my crossroads blocks together. I really like it! Also I was able to finish DD's (19 yo) quilt that I had been working on since August 07!!!! Eureka!!!!

YEAH! HIP HIP HOORAY! GIANTS WON!

Okay sportsfans, I like Tom Brady and his crew, but enough already. I was rooting for the Giants and was in here yelling like I was a crazy woman (shhh, don't tell...I really am crazy...shhh)and EUREKA!!! they won! While I was watching those crazy commercials and the game, I was also working on Superbowl Bargello Quilt...I was able to finish cutting the strips and sew a couple panels together. This is the first bargello attempt and I was kinda confused; however, after putting them on the design wall, I got it....I believe anyhoo! I have not sewn accurately, soooo I think that I'll cut some black strips (1")and sew them between each bargello strip...stay tuned.....looks like I will have to go back to CC and finish it first!

CAROLINA CROSSROADS ....steps finished!

So just moving along and just finished all the steps...now to put it all together! Later when the regular camera is working properly, I'll post the steps individually...thank goodness for the cellphone...whatever would we do without modern technology? lol...
