The Movies

Yesterday was family movie day! YEAH!!!! We took the kids to see....IRON MAN! I enjoyed it sooooo much that I am waiting for the sequel....great movie! Get back later......got go sew!

FATHER & SON

I am very much in love with my family and when my Men dress up or put their heads together for picture taking....well I just really love it! They dressed for my son's prospective high school Father & Son Communion Breakfast on Sunday and on Monday, they were in NY for DS's school trip. He graduates from the
8th grade and heads off to Prep school in the fall. Me, I spent all morning helping my DD(19 yo) move from one dorm to another.... poor DD had to move everything by herself as her sister was in school! I wished all the time for DD (15 yo)who really begged to come with me.....oh, well, it all got done.

Shhhhh..... don't tell anyone ... another block of the month! This is Carol Doak's May BOM. I am having a really good time with this and I plan to get started on the Yours Truly Round Robin...where the individual determines each round following the quidelines set forth by the group. Meanwhile, I am still working on the Orange Crush Mystery Quilt.... every two weeks now Bonnie gives a new clue! Finished step 3 and am currently in the process of making the 30 blocks in step #4 (I think!). Since I don't have enough to do, I joined the Carol Doak Yahoo group and have finished the April BOM! Those blocks are awwwweeesome!!! Later this month, I will really update the going ons!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

For all you blog hoppers that happen to land here today....Happy Mother's Day!!! This has been a very busy week for our family... ;--) God bless us all! I can update this entry by adding the pics of my gifts: card made by darling son (13); bottle of grace from darling daughter (19) and watercolors and lily by darling daughter (15).... I am very blessed to be surrounded by such intelligence and talent!!!! Thank you Lord!
UPDATE: DEARLY BELOVED, WE ARE GATHERED HERE TO UNITE THIS MAN AND THIS WOMAN.....I DO, that is we did....got married yesterday. This was a full weekend. On Friday my darling husband adopted my daughter...she and he were very happy to make it official as he has been Daddy to her since she was two! On Saturday, he and I made it official and exchanged vows and rings....voila! We are joined together even more....hehehee... I am very happy! We planned our wedding in the space of two weeks...I made the dress with that gorgeous cream silk dupioni and a embroidered lace...just loved the wedding cake-chocolate with butter cream icing...and I and my two darling daughters held fuschia pink roses.

More stuff!

I missed the May Day blogging.... well, I am still working very slowly on all projects...hmmmmmm.... I've been phone ordering yarn from Sophies located in downtown Philly and was able to go in her shop in person a couple days ago. Wow, what eye candy...she has some beautiful fibers....very nice lady....must go and sit and knit some Sunday! got this .... lovely stuff

Here's some beautiful fab I brought from the fabric store downtown..... beige silk dupioni and some beautiful beaded net....gorgeous for a dress and jacket for when one is going to tie the knot!!!!
